Sheltie Temperament

 As the standard says:-

The temperament of the Shetland Sheepdog should be affectionate and responsive to his owner, reserved towards strangers, never nervous.

Whilst the sheltie is still known unfortunately as nervous, we have prided ourselves on breeding and owning shelties whose temperament is characterised by their personalities. We believe that children should be given the opportunity of owning a dog for there are those qualities that only a dog can teach a child.  To those who know our shelties we encourage people to carefully select a sheltie that suits their family and lifestyle.

We are delighted to share
Australian Champion Nigma Steffi Graf (pic below)
with Maddison Jenkins for Junior Handler competition.
In Australia the Junior Handler competition is open to
7-10, 10-13, 14-17 years.
Steffi's temperament is ideal for this competition
and together with Maddison as her handler,
they make quite a striking pair. Their first competition
saw Maddison take first place and we wish them
well for future completitions.
